George Zlati is a speaker at an international conference on social media investigations

Between 9–10 April 2025, George Zlati will be a speaker at the international conference organised by the European Law Academy (ERA) entitled „The Value of a Like – Social Network Investigations and Legal Strategies in the Age of Digital Crime”. The event will be held online and will bring together prosecutors, lawyers, judges and cybercrime experts from across Europe.
George Zlati will deliver a presentation on „Social network investigations and defence rights” on 10 April 2025, within the session dedicated to investigative methods for social media and the rights of the defence.
The conference will address, among other topics:

fundamentals of investigating crime on social networks;

the use of OSINT (open-source intelligence) tools;

legal challenges posed by social-media platforms for the criminal-justice system;

the prosecution of offences committed via social networks.

George Zlati is a lawyer specialising in cybercrime and a university lecturer with expertise in cybercrime and blockchain technology. He holds a PhD in the field of cybercrime, with research covering online and computer fraud, cyber-attacks, and the use of blockchain technology in various modus operandi.
